I've had a long stretch of Don't... go... near... the... computer, which happens occasionally, because my computer is both the vehicle through which summons to work arrive and a portal into the madness that is the World At Large. Sometimes, it's better to let the little blinky I'm Asleep LED on the monitor do its job, so that it feels like a valued part of the PC community in my office. Otherwise, the self-esteem plummets, and before you know it it's smoking silicon crank and hanging out with leaky capacitors inside an old power supply somewhere.
And we wouldn't want that. Would we?
